About FaceSearch Wiki
FaceSearch Wiki is a reference site about face search engines, face recognition and image privacy. It documents every engine in one format, every relevant law by jurisdiction, the regulator decisions and court cases, the vocabulary, and the practical tables people need: how to opt out of each engine, where to report impersonation, how to get intimate images removed. It currently holds 108 entries.
Who publishes it
Humanity Founders, the company that makes FaceSearch, a reverse face search engine. That is a conflict of interest and we handle it in the open: FaceSearch has an entry in the engines section written in the same fields and the same voice as PimEyes, FaceCheck.ID and the others; no entry ranks engines; and the only commercial element on any page is one labelled box that links to the product. Comparisons and recommendations live on facesearch.cc, not here.
How entries are written
Every entry is built from the primary source (the engine's own pages, the statute text, the decision, the regulator's press release) plus at least one independent source, each listed with the date it was checked. Prices and procedures are re-checked every 90 days; laws and cases when something happens and at least yearly. The editorial policy has the full rules.
What it is not
It is not legal advice, not a review site, and not a place to search for a person. Entries describe what engines do; they do not identify anyone. If you believe an entry is wrong, tell us; corrections are logged in the changelog.
