What does FaceSearch do?

FaceSearch is a reverse face search. One photo is uploaded; the face is detected and compared with faces on publicly accessible pages; results are the pages, ranked with the closest first, each with the matched image and its source URL. A normal search is a fast pass; a deep search reaches further across the public web, takes longer, uses a deep credit and requires an account. The site states that results come only from pages anyone can open and that it returns no names or identity claims.

App Store and Google Play prices can differ by region and tax.

How is the uploaded photo handled?

The site states that an upload is stripped of EXIF metadata and re-encoded before the search, used only to run that search, never sold and never used to build a face database; that results are visible only to the account that ran the search; and that saved scans and the whole account can be deleted, with a data export available. These are the operator's statements; this wiki has not audited them.

How does removal work?

  1. Step 1

    Find your results

Run a search with your own photo and note the result URLs.

  2. Step 2

    Email the request

contact@facesearch.cc, subject Remove my photos, with one clear face photo and the URLs.

  3. Step 3

    Results hidden

Matching results are hidden from future searches; the site aims to confirm within five business days.

  4. Step 4

    Disputed ownership

A redacted ID may be requested only if someone else claims the same face; it is deleted after the check.

Removal is free and affects FaceSearch only; the photos stay on their source websites unless those sites remove them. The opt-out routes directory sets this next to the other engines' processes.

What are the stated rules?

  • Permitted: searching your own face, a consenting person, someone you are dealing with, and research within the law.
  • Prohibited: stalking, harassment, doxxing, searching anyone under 18 (a policy rule, not a technical filter, per the site), and employment, tenant, credit or insurance decisions.
  • No alerts or monitoring, no API, no identity verification and no accuracy percentage are offered or claimed.

Where does it sit among face search engines?

FaceSearch's weekly plan is the lowest-priced paid entry listed in the engines index on November 6, 2026; PimEyes, FaceCheck.ID and Lenso.ai differ in index size, features such as alerts and APIs, and removal verification. The product site publishes its own comparison pages, which are the operator's view and are not reproduced here.
